- Day 1 Arrive at Varadero
International Airport and transfer to the three star Hotel Sevilla in the
heart of Colonial Habana.
- Day 2 Enjoy a
hearty breakfast we enjoy a full day tour of old and modern Habana.
Fascinating historical and cultural sights include the Capitolio Nacional,
Arms Square, Cathedral Square, Palace of Art, Capitanes Generales Museum and
the Revolution Square. In the afternoon we spend time in the Museum of
the Revolution. So much to see and do! Enjoy
dinner with the evening free for a stroll in the warm Caribbean air.
- Day 3 Vinales
Valley is our destination for today. Explore the tourist complex of
Las Terrazas in the Sierra del Rosario Mountain Range. Sample a
typical Cuban cocktail and visit the artists and artisans here. La
Canada del Infierno and the ruins of a French Coffee Plantation fill out the
morning. This afternoon we refresh ourselves in the springs and clear
waters of the San Juan River. Continue to Pinar del Rio, a world
Biosphere reserve. Enjoy
dinner and check into the economical Hotel los Jazmines or Hotel Soroa for the next 3
nights.
- Day 4 Another
hearty breakfast and we are off to the spectacular caves, underground rivers
and "Mogotes" that make this area famous. Mogotes are
strange and tall vertical hills that are surrounded by farmland. Bring
lots of film as the scenery is gorgeous. Lunch is at the Mural
Prehistoria followed by a visit to Cuba's largest cave complex, Cuevas del
Indio. Return to our hotel for dinner and a great night's
sleep.
- Day 5 What a day
we have in store! Feast on another delicious breakfast and head for
Cayo Levisa. Here we stroll 2 miles of white sand beaches. Break
for seafood lunch and have time for snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, or scuba
diving! Relax on the beach and return to our hotel in Pinar del Rio.
- Day 6 The great
adventure continues. We have the day free to lounge about or take an
optional excursion.
- Day 7 Board the
van or motor coach for Havana. Stop at Soroa, a unique ecological area.
A stroll through the Orchid Garden is delightful. the surrounding
waterfalls and rivers beckon us to explore this beautiful spot. Lunch
is at El Salto or similar. Continue to Havana for dinner and overnight
once more at the Hotel Sevilla.
- Day 8 After
breakfast we visit the Cigar Factory and the Hemingway Museum and transfer
to Varadero airport or to one of our selects resorts for an additional week
of fun in amazing Cuba.
